IS Clean Water Centrifugal Pump
The IS Clean Water Centrifugal Pump is a single-stage, single-suction (axial inlet) centrifugal pump designed for industrial and municipal water supply, drainage, and agricultural irrigation. With 29 base models in the series, it offers 153 performance configurations through speed adjustment and impeller diameter trimming, ensuring flexible solutions for diverse operational needs.
Compliance & Standards
Compliant with China National Standard GB5662-85 and equivalent to international standard ISO 2858, the IS pump guarantees reliable performance and dimensional consistency for global applications.
Structural Design
Key Components:
Pump body, pump cover, impeller, shaft, sealing rings, shaft sleeve, and bearing bracket assembly.
Features a "back pull-out" design (rear-mounted split structure), enabling easy maintenance without disassembling pipelines, motors, or the pump casing. Simply remove the coupling spacer to withdraw the rotor.
Hydraulic Chamber:
The pump body and cover form the hydraulic chamber. The rotor assembly (impeller, shaft, and bearings) is supported by the bearing bracket, which absorbs both radial and axial forces.
Axial Force Balancing:
Most models include front/rear sealing rings and balance holes on the impeller’s rear shroud to offset axial thrust.
Models with minimal axial force may omit rear sealing rings and balance holes.
Sealing Options
Axial Seals:
Soft Packing Seal: Traditional sealing with adjustable compression.
Mechanical Seal: Enhanced leak-proof performance for demanding conditions.
Rubber Oil Seal: Compact and corrosion-resistant solution.
Anti-Leakage Design:
A stuffing box (packing gland, lantern ring, and packing) prevents air ingress or excessive leakage.
For impellers with balance holes, a lantern ring channels pressurized water from the pump chamber to seal the shaft.
Impellers without balance holes operate under positive pressure, eliminating the need for a lantern ring.
Shaft Protection
A replaceable shaft sleeve protects the shaft from wear in the sealing area.
An O-ring between the sleeve and shaft prevents air/water leakage along the interface.
Model Nomenclature
Example: IS50-32-125 A
