Ultra Heavy-duty Centrifugal Slurry Pumps (AH / AHR)
Characterized by ultra-long wear lifetime, First Pump® AH / AHR range of horizontal lined slurry pumps are robust centrifugal pumps specially built to continuously transport high-density slurry containing a quantity of tough abrasive solid particles (such as mineral ores, aggregates, slags, tailings, coal, crushed rocks, sand, gravel, sludge, silt, etc.).
With minimal maintenance requirements, AH / AHR slurry pumps will maintain high efficiencies throughout the wear life of its components, resulting in the most cost - effective total operating cost.
A diverse selection of liners, impellers, and shaft seals enable AH/AHR high capacity and hydraulic slurry pumps to be customized to the user's individual tough solids handling applications.
When combined with our comprehensive range of First Pump® mill circuit pumps, the First Pump® AH / AHR heavy - duty slurry pumps offer a full spectrum of choices for the majority of tasks within the mill. These tasks span from cyclone feed operations to regrinding, flotation processes, and tailings management.
Available with WRT Impeller and Throatbush Combination — a superior upgrade for your existing AH pumps
Advantages of First Pump® AH / AHR Slurry Pumps with WRT Technology
Four-vane design with a unique vane let on the back shroud, streamlines the flow through the impeller, improving fluid guidance and optimizing the hydraulic profile.
Reduces turbulence, which in turn helps to lower the Net Positive Suction Head Required (NPSHR) of the pump.
Slurry guidance vanelets modified flow path to reduce inlet losses improve efficiency & NPSH performance.
Increase the wear life of the impeller and throatbush by 30% to 50%.
lower pump power consumption and reduce CO2 emissions.
Reduces the total cost of ownership.

First Pump® AH / AHR slurry pumps are renowned for their high performance and reliability in handling highly abrasive and dense slurries, with the following features and benefits:
Structural Features and Benefits
Bearing Cartridge Assembly: For AH / AHR slurry pumps, the cartridge-style bearing assembly enables maintenance to be carried out in a clean environment without the need to remove the pump, enhancing operational reliability and prolonging bearing life. The large-diameter shaft with short overhang minimizes deflection, further contributing to extended bearing life.
Replaceable Liners: The AH / AHR slurry pump casing and cover are equipped with replaceable metal or rubber liners. Metal liners are typically made of high-chromium wear-resistant alloy materials, which can be used until they are worn through, extending the maintenance cycle and reducing operating costs. The liners are bolted rather than glued to the casing, ensuring a firm connection and facilitating easy maintenance. Hard metal liners and pressure-molded elastomers are fully interchangeable, and all liner joints are fitted with elastomer seal rings.
Dual Casing Structure: With a horizontal dual-casing structure, the frame plates and cover plates are generally made of ductile iron, which makes AH slurry pump robust and durable, capable of withstanding high pressures and impacts. This makes it suitable for harsh working environments such as in the mining and metallurgy industries when transporting highly concentrated and abrasive slurries.
Efficient Impeller Design: The impeller has pump-out vanes on both the front and rear shrouds to reduce recirculation and seal contamination. Hard metal and molded elastomer impellers are interchangeable. High-efficiency and high-head designs are also available to meet different process requirements.
Available with WRT Impeller and Throatbush Combination: The patented WRT impeller and throatbush upgrade enhances the pump's performance by improving efficiency, reducing power consumption, and boosting wear performance, bringing significant sustainability benefits. A study found the WRT impeller consumed 3.85% less power than a standard one.
One-piece Frame: The robust one-piece frame holds the cartridge-type bearing and shaft assembly. There is an external impeller adjustment mechanism below the bearing housing, which allows for easy adjustment of the impeller clearance.
Operational Features and Benefits
Multitude of Shaft Seal Types:
* Gland Seal (Also Called Packing Seal): simple in structure and low in cost.
* Expeller Seal: have good sealing performance and wear resistance.
* Mechanical seal: have higher sealing accuracy and reliability
Diverse Drive Modes:
The drive modes include V-belt drive and flexible coupling drive.
V-belt Drive Forms: CLZ, CV, CRZ, ZVZ and DC.
Flexible Outlet Installation: FAH/FAHR slurry pump outlet can be installed at 8 angles, with each angle spaced 45 degrees apart, offering flexible installation and adapting to different site layouts and piping connection requirements, reducing installation space and piping layout difficulty.
Multistage Series Connection Capability: AH / AHR slurry pump can adopt multistage series connection technology to meet the needs of long-distance transportation. By connecting multiple pumps in series, the delivery distance and head can be increased, realizing long-distance and high-head transportation of slurries, which is suitable for long-distance slurry transportation systems in large mines, metallurgy, coal and other industries.

Applications and Features
First Pump® AH / AHR heavy-duty and robust centrifugal slurry pumps are widely used in various industries due to their excellent performance in applications of pumping highly abrasive and dense slurries. In virtue of robust performance, ultra stability and cost-effectiveness, AH slurry pumps are your best choice.
Specifically, they are well - adapted for pumping hydrocyclone feed and sand. Moreover, they are also a great fit for regrind, flotation, hydrotransport, and tailings applications.
These large-scale mining slurry pumps come with an array of impellers and shaft seals. This allows them to meet the requirements of a wide variety of applications in minerals processing plants.
